This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the use of the web-based Galaxy tool to analyze next-generation sequencing data, with the help of extensive exercises. Topics include: importing data into Galaxy, mapping data onto a reference genome, calling SNPs, and performing both ChIP-Seq and RNA-Seq analyses. In addition, participants will also learn how to make efficient use of the history and workflow capabilities of Galaxy. Finally, participants will get an overview of setting up their own instance of Galaxy, both on their own machines and in the cloud.
